ABOUT THE ROUND TABLE

The Hungarian Government and the People's Republic of China signed an agreement on the "One Belt, One Road" intergovernmental strategic cooperation in 2023. The Hungarian-Chinese Investment Roundtable is an independent expert panel that, by making proposals, providing opinions and advice, helps the two countries to effectively and successfully achieve their strategic and agreed-upon goals, and also contributes to the preparation and implementation of bilateral cooperation and projects.

The Hungarian-Chinese Investment Roundtable aims to deepen the Hungarian-Chinese comprehensive strategic partnership and promote cooperation along common interests, including in the fields of economy, trade, agriculture, investment, transport, education, science and technology, healthcare, sports, culture and tourism.

The founders decided to open a Chinese representative office of the Roundtable, to create a project preparation and qualification portal, and to develop a database of investment locations based on local government areas. In addition, plans include the creation of a qualified supplier and contractor database to promote the role of the Hungarian SME sector.

The Round Table is also planning to launch an entrepreneurial business club called the "Eurasia Club" in order to build more informal relationships.
